Help Your Good Buddy Yahoo! - Use Site Explorer

December 16th, 2005 by James Omdahl

For a few months now, Yahoo has been asking search marketers to use the Yahoo Site Explorer when checking inbound links and the number of pages that are indexed by Yahoos crawlers.

The general idea was to move the people who are running heavy queries (search marketers) to their own search platform so they are not taxing the main search data centers.

I am not really sure how many people are utilizing Site Explorer, but I can tell you that it seems to be pretty accurate when it comes to checking inbound links.

So if you want to be courteous to your friends over at Yahoo, please use Site Explorer. If you dont feel like you have any friends over at Yahoo, www.Yahoo.com works just fine too. :)
