I saw the movie "Singles" last Friday night. Today, I was reminded of the scene where Matt Dillon's character responded to a bad review of his band in the Seattle newspaper.

Why was I reminded of that scene today? Yahoo's Chief Financial Officer was quoted today claiming that it is not Yahoo's goal to be the best in search and it is not "reasonable" to think Yahoo! can catch Google. Interesting. Another interesting take from this news is that the Yahoo! CFO discredited a recent global internet search report because the stats did not include results from Asia. Said Susan Decker, Yahoo! CFO, "Yahoo! is 'exceptionally strong'" in these Asian countries. And Matt Dillon's band is loved in Belgium.
