The Web Unplugged
April 20th, 2006 by James Harvey
Want to reach a captive audience? Sure! We all do. Guess what? Soon you will be able to. A new company called Webaroo will soon be launching a product which, with caveats, allows you to literally take the web with you. They coin it the web unplugged. Essentially, they have developed search algorithms which will find and load, with completeness, content (sites, pages, ads, etc) of interest … when you connect to the internet and store said content on your hard drive. With hard drives steadily increasing in size this is now becoming feasible.
Check them out: Webaroo!
So, now we have a new avenue to attract customers who are chained to a plane, or bus, etc.
Enjoy!
