Is calling a lawyer an extortionist redundant?

Yes, I stole the title of this post.

Is the latest class-action suit against Yahoo! extortion? A Marquette University Law School professor thinks so.

Read about it here and you decide.

All I will say is I have a "special" place in my heart for lawyers. :-)

Keep on.

As a previous user of contextual advertising, I think the lawsuit has some merit. I have seen click patterns that appeared to be suspect. I also think that Yahoo should be very clear about their advertising partners. Too often, we incorrectly assume that the quality of traffic from contextual advertising will be equal to the search engine traffic. This is definitely not the case. You should always bid much less when using contextual advertising.
