A Life Insurance Agent's Dream Come True?

If you're a life insurance agent, EFinancial's got the solution to all your life insurance sales woes. Maybe.

In a press release picked up by Insurance News Net, the company announced the launch of a new version of its Web-based life insurance sales software—EFinancial's Automated Life Insurance Sales System (ALISS) promises to offer life insurance agents a faster and more effective method of matching customers to the best possible policies, speeding the overall process and improving agent service.

According to the press release, EFinancial based its product on real feedback from agents who have used the system on a daily basis. That feedback resulted in a product that, according to EFinancial, has simplified the entire sales process.

The new version of ALISS creates an almost paperless product, including automatic application completion, medical exam scheduling and real-time reports on the underwriting status. Furthermore, ALISS helps agents stay on top of their leads by scheduling reminders, updates and follow-up emails. The release also boasts that ALISS will speed online quote retrieval "from all carrier-quote engines."

If this isn't a life insurance agent's dream come true, it gets better:

"ALISS provides agents with the application, cover letter and mail label, which are print-ready for increased time savings."

Wow. Will life agents even have to work using ALISS?

Of course the answer to that is, yes. Until EFinancial comes out with an ALISS robot that sells policies for you, you're on your own there. But, if the new version of ALISS is as great as EFinancial says it is, life agents will be able to spend less time drowning in paperwork and more time selling policies.

I, for one, will be interested to see if any of InsureMe's agents make use of this program and if so, how it affects their lead retrieval. I wouldn't imagine it could speed the process if an agent's already receiving real-time InsureMe leads...nonetheless, it sounds like it might improve an agent's efficiency in other beneficial areas.

Let us know if you decide to give the new ALISS program a shot. According to the press release, ALISS is free (yes, that's right) for agents with carrier contracts, although it does require a "nominal" $150 set-up fee. Check it out and let us know if ALISS delivers.

And, to get everyone even more pumped about taking the life insurance industry by storm, here's one of our articles: Utilizing Insurance Leads.
